One approach is to give three URL's covering the following three information areas:
- A definitive/official source of the standard specification
- An informal definition of the standard area (e.g. Wikipedia, note that links to Wikipedia should be used with caution, but it can still provide useful information.)
- Short briefing papers on the standard area that bridge the gap between 1 and 2 (e.g. QA Focus or CETIS briefing sheets).
- Author
- Initial creator of this page - if the person responsible for this page changes the author will remain the same and the person now responsible should be mentioned in the contributors field.
- Contributors
- Names of people who have contributed to the intellectual content of this page. If a new person becomes responsible this can be indicated as John Smith (responsible for entry from September 2006)
- Date Created
- dd Month Year
- Version
- Details for the version control for this record. When edits are made a new version number should be given with a date. e.g. v2 (16 September 2006)
